Down by 18, proved to be too much by just 2inches for the Permian Panthers going down 28-22. A final throw of the dice, with just minutes on the clock, missed getting a 1st down by just 2 minutes.

The Permian defence struggled to hold the Allen offence with the Allen passing game leaving Permian grasping at the attackers. The Panthers  offece stuttered early with incompletes and dropped ball giving Allen field position and possession. A brave second half comeback just didn't breach the gap. Sherard Ray was the outstanding pler onthe field, single handedly dragging Permian back into the game.

A 12-1 season for the Panthers who again have reached the third round of the playoffs for the second consequtive year.
