The Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints will play off in the Superbowl on February 8 after each became the champions of their respective conferences today.

The Colts defeated the New York Jets 30-17 to win the AFC Title and firm as favourites for the Superbowl.

The NFC title went into overtime when the Saints and the Minnesota Vikings were locked at 28 all after regulation. The Saints chipped in a field goal to win 31-28. In the words of one of the fans on the NFL forum, "Who would have thought that Saints and Superbowl would be in the same sentence".

Both teams now have a fortnight to prepare for the Superbowl which promises to be a great game, with the sentimental favourites New Orleans Saints taking on the odds-on faves in the Colts. Should be a classic.
